Because it uses just one single-screw extruder as well as a common dryer, coater, cooler and
a single storage bin, the MCMS takes up little floor space, capital or maintenance time.

With this innovative solution, simplifying an otherwise complex and costly
manufacturing process is the primary focus. ETI’s success in meeting this
objective is obvious when you compare the benefits of the MCMS to the
disadvantages of the other defined systems.

Simplified blending and handling control. Within the complex nature of the other two options (blending bins and multiple extruders), a complex control algorithm may be necessary to make the system easier to operate, and in some cases it will be required. ETI has gone to great measure to make sure the MCMS will operate within the process control parameters of your standard petfood production line, thus reducing operator training required to implement the system. ■
