The concept
Why?

Because petfood and treat manufacturing are extremely competitive, ETI continually develops and refines extrusion technologies to help our clients in the marketplace. For our clients to be more productive and grow they must have an edge, whether it be marketing, volume or ingenuity, and they must have the tools to meet their goals.

Before the introduction of this new technology, primarily two groups could effectively thrive in the pet treat manufacturing domain:

The market scenario described on p. 1 drove the conceptual design of the E975 Extruder. The Extru-Tech concept was to engineer a sound single screw extrusion solution that allows our clients to position their companies in the treat and specialty product markets, while encompassing their core business model.

The E975 design can be summarized into three main objectives:

2. Capably equipped, full service

capability;

Although there are some exceptions, for the most part this observation is true. For everyone else to grow into this market, they must find a way to maintain current production of petfood while adding plant time/equipment for treat production, all without placing them at financial risk.

2. Increase control of the
“cook”; and

3. Develop a function of versatility.

The first two are required for the processing of pet treats. The last will help the producer maintain current production load with the same machine, creating a much more efficient overall production model.
