Why go OEM?

It is important to be mindful that an OEM part has been engineered and manufactured to ensure your equipment operates within specified tolerances, minimizing wear. Most importantly, it has been designed to function at optimum capacity and energy efficiencies.

As a responsible and responsive OEM, Extru-Tech, Inc. (ETI) designs replacement parts such as screws, barrel liners, shafts and wear plates based on the customer’s process, taking into consideration items that cause part wear such as raw ingredients and mechanical forces. ETI’s design of parts includes achieving very specific tolerances and component metallurgy to minimize downtime causing faults. These tolerances and metallurgy considerations are often not even considered by third-party vendors.

Benefits of ETI parts

By using certified Extru-Tech replacement components and services, you can benefit from:

Components that have been engineered and manufactured to

maintain as-new tolerances, thus optimizing your equipment output and reducing downtime;

Technical support and advice on component installation;

Services such as bearing housing rebuilds completed by Extru-Tech certified

technicians using all OEM parts that include a one-year factory warranty; Standard wear parts kept in Extru-Tech’s inventory, with every effort

made to ship replacement parts the same day.

Extru-Tech maintains extensive archive records of:

All replacement parts purchased through ETI;

Service and training, too

To further assist you in achieving operational harmony, the basic extrusion principles are passed along via our Extended Service Programs (ESP) and Extrusion Training Seminars. Each ESP is tailored to meet the specific demands of our customers. Basic packages include scheduled visits by our certified extrusion technicians to assist with processing issues, equipment tune-ups, processing optimizations, maintenance and operator training.

Tailored Extrusion Training Seminars provide comprehensive journeys through the entire extrusion process including detailed discussions in all aspects of petfood production, from raw materials and formulation to drying theory and troubleshooting.

Extrusion Training Seminars typically consist of two days in a classroom with formal presentations and engaging question and answer sessions that help reveal issues specific to you and your process. This is followed up with a plant-floor exercise that will help you relate theoretical principles to their real-world application.

It’s an attitude

Customer service is not a department, it’s an attitude. Extru-Tech, Inc. understands the requirements of 24/7 production facilities and realizes that downtime is the worst enemy of a production plant. With this in mind, we endeavor to assist our clients with unparalleled technical service and the highest quality replacement parts available anywhere.

Profile configurations such as barrel stack-ups; All maintenance performed by our technicians.

These records are archived per customer and are available to each customer upon request to assist in your manufacturing tracking and budgeting processes.
